Pediatric Neurology at Children’s of Alabama administers and directs an eight bed inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Patient diagnoses cover a range of problems including seizure disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, primary muscle diseases, developmental problems and acute encephalopathies.  The division provides ambulatory services through general pediatric neurology clinics at Children's of Alabama and sleep clinics. An expanding research program is investigating basic and clinical problems related to epilepsy, child development, genetics and biochemical diseases.
