Hello!

My name is Chelsey Holland. I want you to know that any and everything is possible.

As an infant, my mother Crystal Holland, was involved in an automobile accident. Her mother's car was hit by a drunk driver. The car exploded killing her mother, as well as, her grandmother. They both suffered from severe burn injuries and later died from infection. My mother, however, survived. As a small baby, 75 percent of her body suffered from third degree burns. The burns also lead to her having deformities with her left hand.

My mother spent seven months in Children's of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama. Being that this happened in her younger phases of life, it is important to realize how traumatic circumstances change your life forever and affect all phases of your life.

Countless children experience these things every day, however, it should not stop ANYONE from moving forward and accepting the skin they are in. My mother is now married with five children,three grandchildren, and smiles every day, FASHIONABLY.

Runway of Hope is a non-profit event (soon to be organization) that hosts an annual fashion show that benefits Children's of Alabama's burn unit, as well as, many families in need. ALL colors, shapes, and sizes are welcomed! To love yourself within, you must embrace what is on the outside and let it seep into your soul. My team and I want to light up the lives of families who have suffered from or lost a loved one due to burn accidents. This is also my way of thanking Children's of Alabama for saving my mother's life and making it possible for her to leave a legacy. I will be forever grateful for each blessing I have and will receive.

I want to show the world what it is truly like to be beautiful. There is no need for a room with a stage to be the place for excitement, bright lights, long strides, and high fashion. Let the world be your runway and add love!

All and any donations will be accepted! I want my event to continue to grow and spread awareness for the victims of the flames. However, support and encouragement is always unbeatable.
